Bryan Teuscher
President

Hometown: Idaho
Major: Psychology
About Me: Growing up in the thriving metropolis of Rexburg, Idaho I developed acute skills in potato picking and cow tipping. Actually, I never really did either of those things, but I loved being outdoors with my family. We’d go camping, fishing, and hunting all the time. I also like things that are a little less rustic, like music and reading. I will admit to my slight nerdy side by indulging in a light fantasy novel (please don’t judge too harshly) but I love classic literature as well. I served my mission in Scotland, then came home and starting learning Spanish to be available to help the Spanish speaking community in the US if I can. I hope to become a marriage and family therapist in the future, probably following a route in Social Work and then Counseling Psychology. I love being around people, getting to know them, and sometimes making a fool of myself (especially when dancing, but I’m horrible at it). I look forward to seeing you at our activities!!

About Me: I am a Francophile. I love to travel, explore and create. I enjoy photography, art, theater, cooking and reading and writing. Oh, and food. I love food. Eating it. Making it. Sharing it....well, sometimes. I hope to go into editing/publishing for a magazine or book company. I also plan on moving to France, and becoming Julia Child. Oh! And I will hike the Lord of the Rings trail before I die.

Contact: gn1299212@hotmail.com
About Me: I am a senior in the didactic program of dietetics at Brigham Young UniversityI have been interested in food and nutrition since I was young, but I had never thought of studying that because there was no accredited dietetics program in Hong Kong. Once I got an opportunity to study abroad to pursue a higher education, I decided to come to the States for a dietetics major. I found myself so lucky to be here, and I am so grateful for studying what I am passionate about.

She has been a member of Golden Key honor society for a year and is currently serving on the Public Relation chair. She loves to read and write novels, sing, dance, speak Spanish and Japanese, play video games, and long walks on the beach.

Ben Jorgensen
Service Committee Chair
Hometown: Moses Lake, Washington
Major: Spanish
Contact: ben_1jorgensen@hotmail.com
About Me: I grew up on a potato farm in Washington. I’m the youngest of 7 kids. I served my mission in Argentina in the Bahia Blanca Mission, where I was almost translated twice. I’m a pre-med student and have about a year and a half left to go. My goal is to go on to medical school and become a hospitalist. I love learning but know that when you work hard you’ve got to play hard, hence my constant trips up to Park City to hit the slopes. I love golfing, swimming, tennis, scuba diving, basically anything outdoors that’s fun. I honestly joined Golden Key with the intention of just having another thing to put on file when applying to medical schools but when I found out how legit this organization was, with all the scholarships, networking and service opportunities, I realized how worth while it was. I’ve stayed involved because I love working with individuals who are actually dedicated to making a difference, standing out and serving others. I have loved my time with Golden Key and I’m pretty darn sure you will too.

Emma Franks

Hometown: Cleveland, OH
Major: Economics
Contact: efranks@pobox.com
About Me: Hello everyone! I'm Emma! love music of any kind, but most especially singing in the BYU a capella group Seven Deadly Sins and playing guitar (no, I'm not very good, but I enjoy it). I love trivia, playing games, and anything that reminds me of childhood. I was an active participant in band, choir, and theater in high school and my freshman year of college, but I haven't pursued any of those adventures since transferring to BYU last Fall. Basketball, soccer, and tennis are my favorite sports to play when I get a chance, and I love gymnastics. I'm a bit numerically O.C.D., I'm cautiously spontaneous, and I'm slightly addicted to clubs and volunteering. I'm also learning Hebrew! My life ambitions are to someday write a book, learn to surf, play the ukelele, and go to Harry Potter World.

About Me: I really enjoy traveling. Also, I have a ton of other interests - too many to list:) The reason  I got involved in Golden Key is because I didn't want to be one of those people that just joins for the benefits. I've enjoyed whatever little I've done for the chapter and hope I can help you in anyway.
